Tom Hiddleston stars as an English nobleman with a crumbling estate and a too-close relationship with his sister (Jessica Chastain) who marries Buffalo heiress Edith Cushing (Mia Wasikowska) for less than honorable reasons.
Guillermo del Toro has made his directorial career by bringing to life nightmarish visions, but with Crimson Peak, he sets his sights on a gothic story that is as much based in romance as it is in horror.
